Word Keyboard Commands
You'll find that shortcut keys will greatly increase your productivity by keeping your hands on the keyboard so that you're not fumbling with the mouse.
Generating a commands list. To generate a complete list of keyboard shortcuts, follow the appropriate steps below. Word 2010 and 2007. In Word 2010, click File, and then select Options. In Word 2007, from the Office Button menu, select Word Options, and then Popular. In Word 2010, click Customize Ribbon.From the list on the right side, check Developer, and then click OK. For example, pressing CTRL+B changes selected text to bold. If you reassign CTRL+B to a new command or other item, you will not be able to make text bold by pressing CTRL+B unless you restore the keyboard shortcut assignments to their original settings by selecting Reset All at the bottom of the Customize Keyboard dialog box. How to Use Shortcut Keys
In Windows, most shortcut keys for Word use the Ctrl key combined with a letter. The Mac version of Word uses letters combined with the Command key.
To activate a command using a shortcut key, simply hold down the first key for that specific shortcut and then press the correct letter key once to activate it. Then release both keys.
